Reviewer participation is subject to acceptance of the review invitation and compliance with the Journal’s peer-review and ethical requirements.

Article Submission & Editorial Process
Stage 1: Preparation & Anonymization
Authors submit the main manuscript without identifying information, together with a separate title page containing the authors’ names, affiliations, contact details, and other required information. The editorial team is responsible for ensuring that identifying information is removed from the manuscript before it is forwarded for peer review.
Stage 2: Initial Screening
The editorial desk audits the manuscript for formatting compliance, scope alignment, and plagiarism screening (1–2 weeks).
Stage 3: Double-Blind Peer Review
Eligible manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review by independent subject-matter experts selected according to the manuscript’s subject area and the Journal’s reviewer requirements. Reviewers are provided with the appropriate review rubric and are expected to evaluate manuscripts against the established academic, methodological, ethical, and presentation criteria. Reviewers are normally expected to complete and return their review within 2–4 weeks of accepting the review invitation. The overall peer-review timeframe may vary depending on reviewer availability, reviewer response times, and the number of review rounds required.
The Journal uses structured review criteria to promote consistency and transparency in the peer-review process. Reviewers will be provided with the appropriate review rubric based on the nature and scope of the manuscript. Reviewer comments should provide clear, evidence-based feedback to assist authors in strengthening the quality, rigour, and clarity of their work.
Stage 4: Revision & Final Decision
Authors address reviewer recommendations, followed by final editorial approval and DOI/PDF publication assignment (2–4 weeks).

- Zero Author Fees: WPJRI operates under full institutional support from WPU. There are no article processing charges (APCs), submission fees, or publishing costs.
- Double-Blind Integrity: The Journal follows a double-blind peer-review process in which the identities of authors and reviewers are withheld from one another to the extent practicable. Manuscripts provided to reviewers should not contain author-identifying information. Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and must not seek to identify authors or disclose information about manuscripts under review.
- Ethical Compliance: All research involving human subjects, community field data, or environmental sampling must present formal ethical clearance approval.
- Reviewer Confidentiality and Conflicts of Interest: Reviewers must treat all manuscripts and associated review materials as confidential. Reviewers should disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest before undertaking a review and should decline the assignment where the conflict may compromise the independence or objectivity of the review.
